Best of Patch: Who Makes The Best Sandwiches?

Please vote for your favorite sandwich place by taking our poll and by clicking on the directory link and writing a short review.

Our inaugural Best of Patch contest kicks off this week with food on our minds.

Do you have a favorite sandwich place or sub shop in town?

Here are some of our favorite places, but if we're leaving one off of the list, please let us know in the comments and we'll add it:

Voting in the poll below is open until 9 a.m. Friday. Because this poll is not scientific, it is not the sole consideration in choosing a winner. The winner will be determined by the Patch editor, based on poll results and reviews on Patch Places. Please vote only once per survey.

I was thinking Metro deli or my son's favorite sandwiches are at Meat Again.

I'll add those now.

If you want the best Cheese Steak, then you should go to The Willows. If you want the best Roast Beef, Italian, Chicken Parm., or say a Chicken Salad Wrap (Spinach flavored) then you need to go to Sandrino's. I used to love the very interesting, and tasty, Boar's Head Deli Meats and Sandwiches over at Stony Brook Acres, but they are closed due to the winter and their property is for sale. Bummer! D'Angelo's makes the best hot Turkey sandwich, with gravy, stuffing, and cranberry sauce, and it makes you think of Thanksgiving any time of the year.

Kathleen, you're right on the Willows for their Cheese Steak! But for the best Italian in New England, I'd have to go with Westford House of Pizza! My wife and I have lived all over New England, and still make a point of stopping at WHP for a couple Italians to go when we're in the area! We're in Canada right now for a few more years, so the trips to WHP are really especially looked forward to! Can't say that about any other sandwich shop!

Just a reminder -- go to the listing pages and put in ratings and descriptions! Those will be taken into account to determine the winner this week.

Willows has the best cheese steak and fantastic chicken cutlet subs (made in house - not frozen). Meat Again is hands down the best for stuff like pastrami and corned beef. I choose Metropolitan for things like turkey and avocado or more creative sandwiches like that.

WHOP has a good sub....but the "best in New England" is a pretty bold statement...."Best in the General Area" I could agree with......but far from the best in New England.
