A Look at the O'Brien Farm

Money to help preserve the property may be in front of voters this October.

Since the 1886, the O'Brien family has owned a farm on Vose Road, continuing a legacy that dated back to the 1700s, but now the family is looking to sell at least a portion of their land.

This summer, the Westford Land Preservation Foundation is working with the Sudbury Valley Trustees and other groups to raise $185,000 for the preservation of 23 of the 25 acres at the O'Brien Farm.

Currently awaiting news on grant applications, a request is expected to be made for the remainder of the balance needed for the 23 acres at Special Town Meeting on October 15.

We'll have more information on the fundraising efforts as they become available, but in the meantime, here are some pictures from our trip down to the property.
