#3. Half-Staff Notice: Governor Deval L. Patrick has ordered that the United States flag and the Commonwealth flag be lowered to half-staff at all state buildings from sunrise until sunset on Tuesday, February 12, 2013 in honor of PFC Michael A. Gorman of Brookline who died February 5, 2013.

This gubernatorial order applies to the main or administration building of each public institution of the Commonwealth, Other state-owned or state-controlled buildings and all state military installations

Editor's Note: Hey guys, I've been getting some complaints about things on the events calendar, so I just wanted to clarify that if you've got something going on every day for an extended period (like more than a weekend), it's much better to put it in the Announcements or Local Voices section.

Things that are once a week are okay, although for anything from a for-profit organization, please keep it to a limited period of time.
