Tocci Building Companies' Laura Handler Named 2014 "Woman of FIRE" by Banker & Tradesman

Boston, MA (July 23, 2014)Laura Handler, Director of Service Design + Strategy for Woburn-based Tocci Building Companies (Tocci) has been named a Woman of FIRE by Banker & Tradesman. Women of FIRE is an annual award that recognizes the best and the brightest women in the local FIRE (Finance, Insurance and Real Estate) sectors. 

“We received many exceptional nominations for this year’s Women of FIRE, but I am pleased to announce that our search has finally reached a conclusion. We have narrowed it down to a deserving group of women who are rising to the top of this industry and achieving excellence on a day-to-day basis. They are pioneers, philanthropists and innovators, and their powerful influence is being felt on the keystone sectors of the U.S. economy,” said Timothy M. Warren Jr., CEO of The Warren Group, publisher of Banker & Tradesman. 

With uncanny wisdom, drive, and ambition for a woman just 29 years old, Handler has earned a seat on Tocci’s Executive Committee and become one of the most highly-respected and nationally renowned thought-leaders in Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) and Building Information Modeling (BIM).

In pursuit of improving industry response to today’s design and building challenges, Handler has given voice to a new generation of builders and modelers. She has also initiated a series of Highly Collaborative Project Delivery (HCPD) and Integrated Project Delivery (IPD) projects across the country. In 2014 alone, her prestigious client list includes Boston Medical Center, Ahold USA, Inc., Starwood Hotels and Resorts Worldwide, Inc., Toll Brothers Commercial, Genentech, and Harvard University.
