Baker Says Farmers Market Brings 'Sense of Community'

Every Tuesday from 2:30-6:30 p.m., vendors fill Westford Town Common with a wide variety of local goods for sale. In Patch's second video in a series of vendor spotlights, we look at La Bella Dolce.

"La Bella Dolce, an Italian artisan bakery, creates elegant, savory desserts and breakfast delicacies," the company's website describes itself as. "Whether you are sharing a special meal with your family or celebrating a soccer game win, La Bella Dolce pastries are perfect for small and large occasions."

In addition to its Farmers Market set up, which will be open weekly through October 29, the bakery sets up at the Chelmsford and Acton-Boxborough Farmers Markets and also ships throughout Massachusetts.

Carmela Coughlan said she enjoys spending time at Farmers Markets because it is about more than just business.

"I really appreciate people supporting me as a small local baker," said Coughlan. "I've been doing the market for six years now, and it's a wonderful sense of community."
