Nashoba Youth Orchestra to Perform Season Finale Concert May 19

Nashoba Youth Orchestra (NYO) is happy to announce that it will be performing its final concert of the 2013-2014 season on Monday, May 19. 

In the program are works by J.S. Bach, Edvard Grieg, and more. Later in the program, a Vivaldi piece will be performed by two of the orchestras, then the finale will be played by all three orchestras combined.  Conductors Ken Culver, Deanna Leedy-Andreozzi, and Jonathan Lam will each take turns conducting at this final concert of the season.

As has been previously announced, plans are underway for NYO’s orchestra program to be melded into the Indian Hill Music School offerings. The youth orchestra will be called “Nashoba Youth Orchestra @ Indian Hill Music” (NYO @ IHM).  A reception immediately follows the concert, and will be hosted by Indian Hill Music's staff.

NYO’s first concert was performed in December 2004. This concert will be NYO’s last concert performing under the umbrella of the Parish Center for the Arts, based in Westford. NYO’s future performances will continue, starting with the 2014-2015 season, under Indian Hill Music.

Future NYO Events

Auditions will be held on May 27 & May 28, 2014 for membership in the Nashoba Youth Orchestra @ Indian Hill Music 2014-2015 season.  All string musicians through 18 years are invited to sign up for an audition.
