Westford Family Welcomes Newborn Daughter On Father’s Day

For a Westford family, Father’s Day was made extra special this year as they welcomed their first daughter, born at Emerson Hospital. Isabella Villalobos-Weldon was born to Rachel Weldon and Noe Villalobos on Sunday, June 15, at 5:52 a.m., weighing in at 8 pounds, 2 ounces and measuring 20 ½ inches long. “I wished she came on Father’s Day, this makes it a perfect day,” said proud father Villalobos. Isabella joins her big brother, nearly 2-year-old Noe, who was also born at Emerson.

Born four days after her due date, Isabella made her entrance into the world in the wee hours of Father’s Day morning. She was the first baby born at Emerson Hospital on Father’s Day and she was delivered by Dr. Richard Rubin, MD, FACOG of Concord OB/GYN Associates.

The parents chose to deliver Isabella at the Emerson Hospital Clough Birthing Center because Emerson was Weldon’s community hospital growing up and they were very happy with the care they received when their son was born at Emerson.  “Everyone has been great, I really like Emerson and the doctors at Concord OB/GYN,” Weldon said.

Weldon was due to be induced on June 16 but Isabella decided to arrive a day earlier on Father’s Day. The family was planning to enjoy their last day together as a family of three, when Weldon began to go into labor. They were excited for their son to meet his little sister later in the day.
