Hawk Trapped Outside Westford Starbucks This Week

The bird was trapped just outside the Starbucks.

On Wednesday afternoon, Westford firefighters and animal control responded to reports of an injured hawk that could not escape an alcove outside of the Westford Starbucks.

According to Starbucks employees, the hawk flew into the alcove, located just above and outside the door of the coffee shop and attempted to fly through a window, injuring itself.

The bird was eventually removed from the alcove.

Westford Animal Control officer Meg Mizzoni said the bird was released behind the Starbucks and was fine after being removed from the scene.
