Freshman Orientation at Westford Academy is Aug. 27

1. Freshman Orientation: Westford's freshman class will have its orientation today where the new students will get acquainted with Westford Academy and its features. Orientation begins at 9:30 a.m.
2. Weather: The weather today in Chelmsford will have temperatures in the mid 80s with the possibility of thunderstorms late afternoon. 
3. Wellness Walk: The Deutsche Bank Championship will host the Covidien Wellness Walk at TPC in Boston today. If you are interested in attending, you can still do so right here. 
4. Welcome back night: Parents of students in the Westford school system are invited to welcome back night tonight at 6:30 p.m. Contact Linda Samanta at 978-692-5570 for more information. 
5. Dog Days of Summer: The Sustainable Westford organization is hosting a dog show today titled "Dog Days of Summer" during which participants will be judged on traits including Best Trick, Best Outfit, and Best Tail Wagger.
