Westford Scout Makes Eagle

Mr. Daniel Richard McKeen of Boy Scout Troop 437 - Westford was recently awarded the Eagle Scout badge, the highest award in Scouting, at a ceremony held at American Legion Post #437 in Westford.  To achieve the rank of Eagle, a scout must earn at least 21 merit badges in a number of different areas ranging from government to recreational activities.  Mr. McKeen earned 35 different merit badges during his years in scouting.

As part of the ceremony, State Representative James Arciero presented Mr. McKeen with a Massachusetts House of Representatives Citation. Arciero is also an Eagle Scout. Pictured are Eagle Scout Daniel McKeen and State Representative James Arciero, both of Westford.
