Walking the Talk
There are a lot of politicians promising us things these days. For those wanting more government intervention, there are Democrats promising to regulate banks, create income equality, or deliver affordable healthcare to all, etc. What they get in return are regulations that are easily skirted by the banks and the rich, continued polarization of the classes and healthcare which is neither affordable, nor universal. For conservatives, there are plenty of Republicans talking a big game of restraint and fiscal responsibility, but once elected, the deficit continues to balloon and the government continues to grow. No one is getting their promises fulfilled. Wouldn't it be nice to have a party fulfill its promises and back up its rhetoric with actions? I introduce to you: Libertarians. When voters finally quit their allegiances to their two main parties and give us a chance, we actually fulfill our campaign platforms. Take this band of Libertarians in Florida for example,http://www.examiner.com/article/elected-libertarians-work-themselves-out-of-job-with-shutdown-of-loc...who cut $100,000 from the local town budget and returned a $10 check to each taxpayer and eliminated their positions in town government. Not just cutting the budget, but their own power in the government. It's time for a 3rd party, join us today.
