Special Needs Baseball Program Desperately Seeking Volunteers

The Miracle League of Massachusetts provides special needs children with the opportunity to play baseball in an organized non-competitive league.  We are looking for volunteer buddies ages 12 and older to assist our athletes with the game of baseball.  Our athletes have a wide range of abilities, some just need a little help paying attention and understanding instructions while others need physical help hitting the ball, running the bases, and fielding.  As our games are low-key, no baseball experience is necessary for our volunteers.  The only requirement is enthusiasm.

Games are played at the all accessible Joseph Lalli Miracle Field at NARA Park in Acton, MA.  Our spring season runs from Saturday, May 3rd through June 14th.  Volunteer buddies can participate at ANY number of games they’d like – you do NOT have to be available for every game, every week.  Games are played at 9:00 and 10:15 (volunteers must be 15 and older to help at these games) and 12:45, 2:00 and 3:15.
