Sean Patrick O'Brien, 26

…Loving son, brother, fiance


DRACUT - We lost our son, brother, nephew, cousin, and soulmate Sean Patrick O’Brien, age 26, on Monday morning, November 11, 2013. Sean was the beloved fiancé of Rebecca Salto of Westford, who was his life, love, and best friend for the past eleven years.

He was born in Lowell, June 24, 1987, one of three sons of Sheila (McLaughlin) O’Brien of Dracut, formerly Tewksbury, and Lawrence O’Brien of Tewksbury. Sean was a lifelong resident of Dracut, and received the Sacraments of childhood at St. Francis Parish in East Dracut.

Sean was a member of Dracut High school class of 2005. He skated with the Greater Lowell Youth Hockey League; and Dracut High hockey. Sean was an avid fan of dirt bikes and ATVs. He loved to ride. He also loved to write, and draw. He shared his mom's and brothers' love of family travel, roller coasters, and fireworks.

Besides his mother, father and fiancé, he leaves two brothers, Daniel J. O’Brien and Timothy L. O’Brien both of Dracut; his maternal grandmother, Madalyn (Powers) McLaughlin of Tewksbury; his godparents, Sharon "Auntie" Lefebvre of Lowell and Patrick "Uncle Ricky" O’Brien of Tewksbury; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Visiting hours Sunday, Nov. 17, from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m. in the Tewksbury Funeral Home, corner of 1 Dewey and 975 Main Sts. (Rte. 38) TEWKSBURY CENTER, ph (800 in MA or 978) 851 2950.  His funeral will begin Monday, Nov. 18, at 8:30 a.m. from the funeral home, followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. in St. Francis Church, 115 Wheeler Road, Dracut.  Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery, No. Tewksbury.
