Ayer Library & ArtsNashoba Invite Everyone to a Community Celebration!

AYER, MA: Ayer Library, in partnership with ArtsNashoba Regional Arts Center for Youth, will be hosting a community Yuletide Celebration December 21st, 2013 from 1pm-4pm at Ayer Town Hall.  In Old Norse poetry and tradition, the word "Yule" is a synonym for "Feast," and a feast of fun is what is in store!  There will be music by the Nashoba Valley Concert Band and the Ayer-Shirley Middle School Chorus, great things to taste, family crafting and activities, and yes – opportunities to SHOP for those last-minute gifts and stocking stuffers!  This event is a fundraiser for Loaves & Fishes Food Pantry in Devens, so donations of food and funds will be graciously accepted on location. For more detailed information about the event, visit the Ayer Library (http://ayerlibrary.org) or ArtsNashoba (www.artsnashoba.org) online, or find them on Facebook!

Celebrate the Winter Solstice with family-friendly snacks, arts and crafts, games, activities, gift-giving, gift-buying, and eco-friendly wrapping (courtesy of Ayer Recycling Committee), all upstairs in the Great Room.  Downstairs, enjoy a free exhibition of artwork from artists in our Region!  (Ayer Town Hall is handicapped accessible).  Local artists, individuals, businesses and organizations were invited to share their art and their wares for pleasure and purchase.  Many of the participants are offering services and product.  Most items will be less than $10, though more valuable gifts will also be available. Participants were also asked to present something in the spirit on the Holidays, something family-friendly… with an emphasis on FUN.
