A “FAME-ously” Fun Night of Music in Westford–

For the fifth year F.A.M.E. will be bringing a fun, funny and diversified night of music as a fundraiser for the Westford Public School’s Music Education programs. The Music Café, which sold out last year, is being held on Friday, October 18, beginning at 7 pm at the Parish Center for the Arts, located at the Westford town common.

For the first time at the Café, The Usual Suspects Band will start the night rocking with a mix of jazz and rock from the 1950’s to today. Featuring 6 vocalists, three part harmonies, powerful guitar licks, tasteful keyboard and harmonica solos, as well as a four piece horn section, it’s guaranteed the room will be rocking before the first half hour is over.

As the night moves on, Westford’s own Boston Road bluegrass band takes the stage complete with mandolin and fiddle to keep the energy high and the toes tapping. With great vocals and banjo and bass pickin’, even people who thought they did not like bluegrass, will be caught up in the energy and the fun.

And returning for a fifth year, straight off their tour of Wayland, MA this summer, is the rock and contemporary music of The Church Ladies---you will never think the same of church….or ladies…again. What you will think of is “fun” and “great music” including songs from their album “Pew”.

The evening closes at 11 pm with the returning rock and blues of Lowell native Peter Lavender and the Limbo Souls. Peter and the group, who have performed locally at the Back Page Jazz and Comedy Club, and the Tsongas Center Backyard Series in Lowell, had their CD sell out at last year’s Café.
