Westford's Future Hockey Stars Win Holiday Tourney

Nabnasset to Forge Village, here are your Five Things for Jan. 17, 2014 in Westford.

#1. On Friday... there's a cholesterol screening at town hall. 

#2. Adult-Ed Classes... are beginning at Nashoba Tech on Jan. 27

#3. This Weekend at the PCA... Darol Anger, along with Maeve Gilchrist on Celtic Harp and Aidan O'Donnell on string bass bring their dynamic mix of jazz to the Parish Center for the Arts at 8 p.m.

#4. Taylor's Message... 17-year-old Taylor Lee Meyer drowned in 2008 after a night of binge drinking, and since then her mother has spread the dangers of underaged drinking. She'll be on hand at the Stony Brook School on Jan. 22 at 7 p.m.

#5. Hail to the Champions: The Nashoba Grizzlies(pictured), the youth hockey program for for kids from Westford and Littleton, won the 6th Annual Boston Bruins Holiday Tournament recently in the Mites AAA and Bantam AAA division.
