Westford Academy Art Show at Art on Main on Thursday

From Nabnasset to Forge Village, here are your Five Things for Jan. 8, 2014 in Westford.


1. Bag It!... 
Sustainable Westford and the First Parish Church United will be hosting a film that examines society's use of plastic on Sunday, Jan. 12 at 5 p.m.

2. The Town Needs Members for the Hunting Policy Committee... 
the committee is charged with creating a preliminary finding for Sept. 1, 2014 regarding a potential policy for hunting on town land. 

Those with experience in conservation, public safety, hunting and those abutting town-owned land parcels are preferred. 

Anyone interested can fill out a Citizen Activity Form on the town website or call the Town Manager's office at 978-692-5501 ext. 1

3. The Westford Republican Town Caucus Meets... 
on Jan. 11 at the J.V. Fletcher Library at 10:30 a.m.

They'll be electing delegates to the state convention, and any Westford resident who was registered as a Republican as of Dec. 1, 2013 is eligible to be a delegate.

4. On Thursday... there will be an art reception of art made by Westford Academy students at Art on Main at 5 p.m. 

If you can't make it then, those pieces of art will be on display for the month of January before heading to the Boston Globe Art Show. 

5. Learn How to Help Relatives With Dementia... at a seminar at Bridges by EPOCH on Thursday at noon.
