Watch For Detours This Week Around Chamberlain and Lowell Roads

Chamberlain Road Neighborhood Scheduled Power Outage

On Thursday, September 12, beginning at 9 a.m., there will be a scheduled power outage on Chamberlain Road and the surrounding areas due to moving a portion of a house across Chamberlain Road. The power outage is expected for only a short duration, but residents should plan for no electricity for up to eight hours.

The following streets are expected to be impacted by the power outage: Aldrich Lane, Buckboard Drive,  Carriage Way, Chamberlain Road,  Chippewa Road, Cobbler Road, Haywagon Circle., Hearthstone Road, Pine Hill Road, Stonebolt Way, and Talus Way

A portion of Chamberlain Road. will also be closed to all traffic during this period. There has been a detour route established for Chamberlain as well as construction being done nearby on Lowell Road this week up to Wednesday near Strawberry Road. (pictured)

Westford Cub Scouts Information Night

There will be a Cub Scouts information session tonight, September 10, at the Abbot School, 6:30-8 p.m. The Cub Scouts is for boys in grades 1-5 or 6-10 years of age.

Representatives from the four Westford Cub Scout packs will be available to answer your questions and provide information on what Cub Scouts is all about and what activities they do. Parents and boys should attend, and registrations can be completed tonight.

Seniors, Learn How to Declutter Your Home

There will be a senior workshop at the Cameron Senior Center on clutter control in the home, Friday, September 13, 1 p.m. Clare La-Sage of WITTZ END will share creative suggestions on ways to de-clutter and organize your home, making your quality of life simpler, safer, and less overwhelming. She will help guide you through the process of moving or downsizing as well.

Light refreshments will be served. Please call 978-692-5523 to register. The Cameron Senior Center is located at 20 Pleasant St.
