1. Around Town: Congrats, James Cummings and Daniel McKeen! Westford has new Eagle Scouts. Rep. James Arciero, of Westford, congratulated them for receiving the highest award in scouting. 

2. Local Buzz: Board of Selectmen Chairman Kelly Ross wrote to the Lowell Sun on Wednesday, stressing that the city is not in any way headed toward bankruptcy. The letter was in response to a Sun editorial piece that said the potential town deficient in 2018 could grow to $24.6 million.

3. Weather: According to the National Weather Service, Thursday will be mostly cloudy, with a high near 76.
