George Seddon to be Remembered This Weekend
From Nabnasset to Forge Village, here are your Five Things for Thursday, Jan. 2, 2013 in Westford.
1. Half-Staff Notice... the U.S. flag and the Commonwealth flag will be lowered to half-staff on all government buildings from sunrise to sunset on Thursday, Jan. 2 in honor of Marine Sgt. Daniel Vasselian of Abington, who died on Dec. 2013.
2. It's Not Just School That's Cancelled For Thursday... The Jan. 2 School Committee meeting has been moved to Monday, Jan. 6.
3. George Seddon To Be Remembered... A long time volunteer throughout town (seen here after getting the Gordon Seavey award in March 2013), George Seddon died last week.
There will be a farewell ceremony for him at Westford Academy at 11 a.m. on Saturday.
4. This Saturday... join the Westford Conservation Trust and enjoy the newly fallen snow on a winter walk at 9 a.m.
5. Over in Chelmsford... the Chelmsford Stamp Club meets at 7 p.m. on Monday.
