A Date Night for Parents, a Half-Staff Flag & Westford Wildlife

Here are five things to know for Friday in Westford.

1. For the Family: Don’t want to hire a babysitter? Kids ages 4 to 10 are welcome to enjoy movie night at BB Kidz Club on Friday or Saturday from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. while parents can enjoy some free time. BB Kidz Klub holds “Parent Date Night” every weekend for $20 a child. This weekend’s movie is “The Incredibles.”

2. What People are Saying: “I suspect the person posting meant Edwards Beach at Nab Lake. We saw it fly by around 9:45 yesterday morning and then it swooped down, grabbed a fish, and flew away. Someone mentioned that they believe it nests on the lake,” KatM said on “Eagle at Edward’s Lake.” Seen eagles, bears or anything else in your neighborhood? Post a picture to our boards!

3. Weather: According to the National Weather Service, showers are likely before noon Friday, with a high near 83. Chance of precipitation is 60 percent. A half-inch of rain is possible.
