Movie Matinee “Glory” with Polly Peterson: The story of Robert Gould Shaw and the first U.S. Civil War’s all black volunteer regiment comes to life in this moving film starring Denzel Washington and Mathew Broderick. Following the movie, Polly Peterson, author of “Stirring a Nation’s Heart”, will speak about Robert Gould Shaw and his family’s trailblazing views on the abolitionist movement in Massachusetts. Popcorn and light refreshments will be served. “Glory” is rated R. Free! No registration required.
