The Friends of the J.V. Fletcher Library Inc. will be holding a book sale on Saturday, June 9 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday, June 10 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. in the meeting room of the J.V. Fletcher Library at 50 Main Street in Westford.  On Sunday all materials will be offered at half price.

There will be a preview sale for Friends members only on Friday, June 8 from 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. Memberships will be available at the door.  Please note the earlier opening time and the change in policy regarding the use of scanners on Friday (see below).

NEW SCANNER POLICY:  The Friends of the Library have decided to no longer allow the use of scanners at the Friends Preview Sale on Friday night to ensure a more welcoming, enjoyable and family-friendly experience for everyone who comes to the sale.  However, scanners will be welcome on Saturday and Sunday.

The sale will include over 10,000 books plus CDs, cassettes, LPs/vinyl, audio books, DVDs and videos.  Regular prices are 50 cents and up for paperbacks and $1 and up for hardover books.

100% of the proceeds from all book sales directly benefit our library unlike other orgranizations collecting book donations that do not donate 100% of their proceeds.  Approximately 95% of the books offered at these sales are donated by Westford residents.

Please donate your unwanted books, audio and video materials to the Friends for the direct benefit of the library and the community of Westford.  These materials can be dropped off at the left-hand door just inside the library's rear entrance.  If the library is closed, just drop your donations in the collection box that is located near the back door of the library.  Tax deduction forms are available at the library's main desk.
