Every (Human) Body Needs a Bit of Fat!

295 Varnum Ave, Lowell, MA | Get Directions »
FREE

This super-interactive and often hilarious workshop explores common myths about diet and disease, explains the benefits of eating fruits and vegetables and offers tips on healthy eating.  A smidge of label-reading math reveals just how much sugar, salt and fat a typical teenager consumes in everyday foods, what types of foods are best, why colors matter, why every human body needs a bit of fat – the right kind!  The instructor has published over 40 science books, games and CDs with currently over four million in print. She also presents school science programs and creates curriculum for TV shows including Bill Nye the Science Guy and NOVA.
