Hello Westford sports fans! Here’s a roundup of some recent action from various local teams and athletes. Westford Lax Grads Heading to Gettysburg The new school year is about to begin, and Westford Academy Lacrosse standout Cam Carlyle will be starting it at Gettysburg College. ESPN reported last month that Carlyle will join club teammate Jared Fong in Gettysburg starting next season. Carlyle was named to the Dual County League First Team All-Stars in June. It's hard making a living as a turkey these days, so we can only assume they were hanging around the office parks of Groton Road recently looking for a new job. Or maybe not. Whatever they were there for, we saw them and caught this photo for our Picture of the Week. Special thanks to the owner of this office building for letting us take photos of the turkeys on his parking lot.
How hot was it last week? It was hot enough for Westford Patch reader Wayne Wagner to fry an egg on the hood of his DeLorean.  Wayne told us that the egg was frying solely due to the heat, not his flux capacitor.

Earlier this month, the Fresh Air Fun helped bring several children from New York City to spend the summer in the Westford area.  However, they were a little late, so as a few family members played tag in the St. Catherine's Parking Lot to pass the time, we got this photo of young Sam Johnson having some fun. Congrats, Sam! You're the Westford Patch Photo of the Week.
