#1. Weather: The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) has declared January 2012 as one of the five warmest Januaries in recorded history for just about all of North America outside of Alaska, who had their coldest January ever.
It looks like this week won't be Alaska-like, excluding today. Highs averaging around 40, lows in the high 20s.
#2. Westford Academy Sports: It's playoff time for some sports, but in others we're just reaching the home stretch. There will be basketball games against Waltham and Catholic Central before this weekend's tournaments, and hockey will have showdowns against Acton-Boxborough and Beverly.
#3. Government: The Board of Selectmen and School Committee are the two big meetings this week.
