Westford's Spirit Halloween is Closing Soon, What Should Take Its Place?

Halloween's almost here, and that means the temporary Halloween costume store will only be here for another few days. What should go into that spot after Spirit Halloween leaves?

A few months ago, we here at Patch asked you all what you think should go into the former Blockbuster site at at Westford Valley Marketplace, and the answer to that question has been provided...at least temporarily.

Spirit Halloween is now at the location, but according to Spirit Halloween location manager Phillip "Phil" Volonino, the business will shut its doors permanently on Nov. 1 at 6 p.m.*

So, when it leaves, what should take its place? Will it stay empty for a long period of time? And now that Cornerstone is just about completed, will that have a role in possible tenancy at this lot?

Let us know what you think in the comments!

Here are my Top-10 Recommendations for this space:

1) Blockbuster video store
2) Wendy's Restaurant
3) Boston Market Restaurant
4) A mattress store
5) A pet store
6) The RETURN of the Old Oaken Bucket
7) A good massage parlor (we've never had a good one)
8) An upscale adult bookstore (perhaps sell some of the excess inventory from the Halloween store.)
9) Another Cross-Fit gym for bored stay-at-home Westford moms who want to strike up affairs and "feel young again."
10) Indoor min-golf!

How about a liquor store seems like we need one in that area. Then people can get a haircut, burrito, and bottle of wine with unparallelled convenience.

I just laughed out loud reading Jimmy's #9. Nice!

I vote for any business that won't shut down in a year.
