A woman was hospitalized with burns Sunday after escaping a fire at her Wilson Farm Road home.

Westford firefighters responded to the home at about 10:30 p.m. after receiving a call someone may be trapped inside.

First responders found the woman on the front lawn suffering from burns, according to the fire department. She was transported to UMass Memorial Medical Center in Worcester. Her name was not released.

A second-floor bedroom received the bulk of the fire damage. Fire crews had the fire under control within an hour and a half, according to Fire Chief Richard Rochon.

The cause of the blaze was unclear. It is being investigated by Westford fire officials and the State Fire Marshal's Office.

Fire crews from Acton, Chelmsford, and Littleton aided Westford firefighters at the scene.
