Things Westford Patch Readers Want Under Their Tree

We've been listening to things people here in Westford have been saying online and in person, and we've compiled a list of things that Westford would like under its tree.

If Westford residents could get everything they wanted under the Christmas tree, here's what we think they'd ask for.

#1. Assurances of Safe School Food: The discovery of rat feces at the School food storage area on Town Farm Road was extremely controversial earlier this year.

#2. A Parking Lot for the Bruce Freeman Rail Trail...in Acton: Parking was awful near the Bruce Freeman Rail Trail in Westford earlier this year, and people wanted that alleviated, but residents near the trail wanted no parking lots in their back yards.

#3. No More Multi-Day Power Outages: Will the town ask the legislature to create its own municipal power company to replace the now generally hated National Grid? The jury is still out, but it's a possibility.

#4. Nooks and Kindles at the Library: They were gone in an hour!

#5. More Downtown Parking: What's the solution?

#6. Another Crack at Acton-Boxborough on Thanksgiving: Acton-Boxborough is the Newman to the Seinfeld of Westford Academy sports.

#7. Only One Market Basket: Preferably a Whole Foods in the place of that second Market Basket apparently.

Did we miss anything? Let us know in the comments!

Personally, I'd prefer an Aldi's in town instead of a Trader Joes or Whole Foods. I also think treats can come back to the classroom parties.

=>A solution to the horrible traffic problem on Rt 110/Minot Corner
=>Comments on boards or articles that speak to the issue, are respectful and don't diverge into personal attacks on anyone
