In a few weeks, thousands will head down Powers Road to go skiing at Nashoba Valley Ski Area, but in the meantime there is plenty to do just next door at the Samuel Fitch House.

Each Sunday there is an assortment of items for sale in the barn near the road such as various things made from upcycling and homemade furniture built from invasive plant species, with the following additional events over the next few weeks.

• Nov. 18 -- Pie Baking Contest
• Nov. 25 -- A Demonstration on How to Make Holiday Swags
• Dec. 2 -- Holiday Open House
