Slippery Roads Cause Westford Afternoon Crashes
Motorists are advised to reduce speeds until further notice.
Road conditions through Westford continue to remain hazardous on Tuesday afternoon, with several vehicle accidents occurring through town according to Police Scanner reports.
From approximately 2:30 to 3:00 p.m. alone, scanners indicate crashes on Boston Road near Eric's, a car and Westford Highway Department plow truck at the corner of Cold Spring Road and Depot Street, Chamberlain Road and elsewhere.
At the Cold Spring and Depot accident, the occupant of one of the vehicles was entrapped, however there were no injuries reported. The road was limited to one lane.
The National Weather Service reports that the snow is expected to stop by approximately 2 a.m. while the Weather Channel reports it will end at approximately 9 p.m.
