Mangia Mangia, Open for Business
Once home to the Westford Grille, the new Italian restaurant at 142 Littleton Road is now open to the public.
In case you weren't there yesterday, Mangia Mangia is now open at the former site of the Westford Grille at 142 Littleton Road.
This restaurant's menu is identical to the one found in Billerica, except they currently are not serving calzones and unlike in Billerica, here they have steak tips, Haddock, and Salmon.
If you're stopping by Mangia Mangia, take some pictures and share them with us here by clicking on the "Upload Photos and Videos" button. We took some pictures of their dishes, tell us what you think!

My wife and I ate at Mangia Mangia this past Saturday night. First of all, with a name like Mangia Mangia, we knew what to expect before we even got there, mediocre food at best. Sure enough, we were not disappointed.
We started with apps, Bruschetta and Fried Calamari, ( Sicilian, which is spicy).
The bruschetta was table bread heavily toasted with giant chunks of tomatoes. Not much spice, so basically it was like burnt toast topped with tomato.
The calamari came out on a full size dinner plate heaped with the little guys. But a few bites afterwards, your mouth was tired from chewing and chewing and chewing. As a kid I think I have chewed on rubber bands in less time. The "sicilian" style wasn't too bad with the cherry peppers fried in just as much batter as the calamari slices but wasn't that spicy.
For main course, my wife got the ravioli with meatball and I got Chicken Marsala. Eh, the meatball was a giant ball of bread with a little meat tossed in..The chicken was tender, the sauce was tasty but the pasta was over cooked and very slimy.
There is no water served so you have to ask for it, the waitresses seemed befuddled with the service, the food deliverers basically threw your meal down and as they were taking off, they trailed off with have a niiice meal. Thats what I call productive...
Why oh why does this town need another restaurant offering food that basically our best sub shops can do better at a lower price and better service.

Mr Reid, Thank you for your review...as a New Restaurant in town, we will work to iron out all of our wrinkles. We greatly appreciate any and all feed back you may have, both negative and positive. We will strive to do our best and stay away from the "sub shop" image you spoke of. Thank you again to take the time to let us know.
Hopefully, you will be willing give us another chance,

Had dinner here last week. Things I liked: 1) Sausage was very good -- nice and dry, with good fennel flavor. 2) I liked the meatballs -- big, moist, and light. 3) The eggplant parm was done well. 4) I thought the service was excellent -- friendly and prompt. Things I did not like: 1) Only penne or linguine. I'd like to see some spaghetti (esp. a spag w/ meatball or sausage dinner). Or angel hair. 2) The pasta is overcooked and comes with too much sauce. Pasta should be pulled from the water at al dente and then finish the cooking in the sauce (don't just put the sauce on top). 3) Veal parm tasted like a frozen cutlet. The neighborhood pizza parlors all have fresh.
I wish you good luck! If you cook your pasta correctly, add some more sauces that you don't get at a pizza parlor, you could fill a void for good Italian food.

We tried it last Friday and were pleased to find lunch prices in effect until 3:30 when we had an off-schedule day. My husband liked the Veal & Eggplant Parm, commenting that the eggplant was nice and light. I liked the Shrimp & Mussels Marinara and the texture of the sauce, but it lacked any Italian seasoning flavor. We would also enjoy other pasta choices, whole wheat angel hair being our favorite. They had a nice Chianti by the glass, and our waitress made a perfect Espresso with their new machine. Service was great. They even turned down the A/C when they saw me put on a jacket. We will go back, at least for take out, and hope they shop for basil in the meantime.

We went on Saturday night. We had a big group and ordered a lot of different things.
Likes: Meal portions were big, they all came out hot and service we had was very good. Prices were reasonable
Dislikes: I agree with Dee that the sauce was a bit bland.
I would give it a B+
Good luck moving forward!

Lasagna with sausage was very good, and the sauce reminded me of my Italian Grandma's recipe, rich, red, mild but tasty. Ate at the bar, so service was good. Thought the price was reasonable.

We also went Saturday night. Our service was excellent - the young man that waited on us was very attentive. Kids meal included an inexpensive steak tips option and plenty of pasta choices. My husband was very pleased with the Lasagna with sausage as well - I think I need to try that next time. The garlic bread and Shrimp/Liguine was too heavy on the butter / oil for my taste but the rest of the family liked it. Happy to have an Italian option in town.
Over all I would agree with Tom B+. For the price I didn't expect A.
