IMAGE GALLERY: Farm Art at the PCA

The "Farm Art: Local Traditions" show displayed works of art by local artisans, from ages 4-91 at the Parish Center for the Arts on Friday night.

Farm Art: Local Traditions reception at the PCA on Friday, September 16th aimed at celebrating Westford's agricultural heritage. The show displayed works of art by local artisans from ages 4-91.

Elizabeth Almeida of  had several varieties of pumpkins and edible squash to view and purchase.

Her farm, located at 5 Gould Road, Westford, has several upcoming events including a Kid's CSA, weekly farmstand and pick-you-own pumpkins.

Sustainable Westford's new puppet theater created by Tom Lumenello eatured Emily Piper and Lydia Solodiuk's musical puppet show. Piper, event coordinator and owner of "Rumphius . . . Creativity Unhinged," presented the younger artisans with prizes and hosted a puppet-making workshop for all the children.

Farm Art: Local Traditions will be on display at the Parish Center for the Arts on Sundays from 12-2pm and Tuesdays from 2:30-6pm throughout the month of September.
