Hello Westford! Here are your Five Things for today, Friday, Jan. 20.
#1. Warrant Article Deadline Coming Up: If you want to submit a petitioned warrant article for the 2012 Westford Town Meeting, which will occur on Mar. 24 at the Abbot School gym, the deadline to submit your article (which requires at least ten signatures of registered Westford voters) to Town Hall is Tuesday Jan. 24 at 2 p.m.
#2. Westford's High School Students Are Raising the Bar: Westford Academy and Nashoba Valley Technical High School students will be taking part in this year's 27th annual Mock Trial Progam presented by the Massachusetts Bar Association.
The program begins on Jan. 23 with simulated courtrooms across the state, culminating in a state championship in the Great Hall of Faneuil Hall in Boston on Mar. 23.
#3. Coaches for Cancer: Tonight's Westford Academy girls' basketball game will be accompanied by a very special event (more information in attached video)
#4. Welcome, Dr. Wu!: In case you missed it, last night was the local voices debut of Westford's own Dr. Greg Wu of Emerson Dental. He talked about Invisalign, and he'll be showcasing the technology next week.
