From Nabnasset to Forge Village, here are your Five Things today in Westford

Hello Westford! Here are your Five Things for today, Thursday, Jan. 19.

#1. Weather: No rain, no snow, just cold. Highs probably will hover around freezing, dipping into the high single digits overnight.

#2. Meat and Greet: The first annual Meat Bowl raffle (pictured) is occuring on Saturday Jan. 28 at the VFW on West Prescott Street. All proceeds go to benefit the Westford Academy Crew Team.

#3. This Sunday: The Westford Farmers' Market and the Westford Healthy Kids Coalition will team up this Sunday at 3:30 in the First Parish Church United for a showing of "Nourish", a PBS special on the story of food.

Anyone interested can RSVP by e-mailing westfordhealthykids@yahoo.com, more information on the film is available at the Westford Farmers' Market website.

#4. What's Westford's Take on SOPA?: Wikipedia, Craig's List and several other sites blacked out yesterday to protest the proposed Stop Online Piracy Act, also known as SOPA.

#5. Also...: Do you have a child that is preschool or kindergarten age? If so, what are your thoughts on Westford's public kindergarten, particularly in regards to a full day schedule? We're doing a story on the topic and we'd love your thoughts by e-mail at westford@patch.com
