#1. Memorial Day in Westford: If you're interested in volunteering for Westford's Memorial Day festivities on May 27 and 28, contact Westford Veterans' officer Terry Stader at 978-392-1170. More information is available on the Westford Department of Veterans Services website as well.

#2. Unwanted Medication and Sharps Disposal Day: If you have any hypodermic needles of prescription medication you'd like to dispose of in a safe manner, head to the Cameron Senior Center at 10 a.m. on Saturday, April 28.

#3. Also Down at the Senior Center : The Westford Youth Chess Tournament will be held there on Saturday, May 5. Registration costs $15, and $10 if you get it in before...you guessed it, Saturday, April 28.

#4. Down at Fat Moon Farm... They're having an Earth Day event today.

#5. Recently at Westford Academy: Bob's Furniture presented $1,000 to Westford Academy principal James Antonelli as part of their Bob's Outreach Program.
