Five Things You Need to Know Today: Dec. 20
From Nabnasset to Forge Village, here are your Five Things for today in Westford.
Hello Westford! Here are your Five Things for today, Tuesday, Dec. 20.
#1. Weather: Some snow might have come down while you sleeping, but it's not likely to stick for very long. The day expects to be clear and cold, highs in the mid 30s, lows in the mid 20s.
#2. One Year Ago Today: Westford native Jason Claffey officially welcomed the world to Westford Patch exactly one year ago today. Now he's up with Patch in Exeter, New Hampshire. If you haven't seen it already, makes sure to check out Exeter Patch today!
#3. Save A Life: Don't forget the blood drive tomorrow at the Roudenbush gym from 2 to 7 p.m.
#4. Frosty the Westford Snowman: Congrats to Westford resident Chris Hurst (pictured), who dressed up as Frosty the Snowman for charity earlier this month during the Massachusetts Bay Commuter Railroad Company's North Pole Express event at South Station in Boston.
This marks the second year Hurst has helped at the event, which helps raise money for six local charities.
#5. Fire Fighter Tree Fundraiser: On January 7 and 8, the Westford Firefighter's Association is holding their annual tree collection fundraiser. On that weekend trees will be collected curbside for $10.00. More information is available at 978-392-0028.
