Don't get too excited. Five Guys does not live up to all the hype. They "smash" their burgers on the grill which dries them out, and then thay cook them to death. Their fries are juicier than the burgers and not in a good way (very greasy).

Best burgers I've had in a long time. Fries good too. Turns out they soak their fries in water, which keeps out the oil (which is peanut oil) when they cook 'em.

WOW. If you think Walmart (and I will eternally boycott THEM for the horrible way they treat their employees and also for the cheap junk they sell) is preferable quality-wise to Marshalls, you have never shopped in a Marshalls! That is just nuts! HAHAH, I'm really laughing here! OMG!!
And...for the record...try 5 Guys before you judge...their burgers are juicy, yummy, and it's a fun place to go!

I have lived in Wrstford my entire 42 yrs. I have seen many changes in this once sleepy little town. I wasn't thrilled about Cornerstone going in, but it's out of my control. The plus side is all of the jobs that is has created.

2 Market Baskets, Three Pet stores, 2 Eyecare stores, 3 Nail salons, 14 restaurants, 4 hair salons and possibly ( although I doubt it will be approved) a 4th liquor store. All on one corner in the tiny little town of Westford. This isn't progress. It's one man padding his bank account at the expense of long time mom and pop businesses and the good people of Westford that live here for the quality of life. Welcome to the City of Westford. Enjoy the traffic

The 4th liquor store does not need approval. Mr. Walker just bought Parents Market complete with liquor license. Agreed, we do not need two Market Baskets, but the old one is listed for lease. In my opinion you can never have too many restaurants!

Yes, the traffic at Minot's Corner will be brutal, but it always has been for the 12 years I've lived here -- and that's one intersection in the entire town along the only real commercial strip. If all the traffic is localized within a specific corridor, then that makes it easy to avoid.

Lenore, the 4th liquor store needs approval to move the license from the ABCC and the BOS via a public hearing. Market Basket has a lease until 2015 and a 30 yr option beyond that. I don't think they will allow competition into the town, and you can bet they will sign that 30 yr option.

never said Walmart was good quality. Marshalls sells left over clothes that no one wants. What about JCP,Macy's, sears. They have excellent prices and great quality in all their products.

Evelyn, here's a little retailing lesson: all the stores you mention are more commonly found as anchor stores at large malls, not at small self-contained shopping centers like Cornerstone.
And re: Marshall's and its "left over clothes that no one wants"...please, please, please keep thinking that. LOL....I'm wearing a pair of $150 Ralph Lauren houndstooth pants that I got for $19, so I'd rather not have the competition....

Only those who can't afford quality clothing shop at Marshalls. I would be ashamed if anyone saw me in Marshalls. $19.00 pants look like $19.00 pants LOL

I suspect that Evelyn is trolling ;). Marshalls and TJ Maxx have plenty of junk, sure, but they'll also have high quality,expensive, designer clothes from the previous season or overstocks from higher end retail stores at deep discounts. I'd prefer Marshalls over Evelyn's examples of Sears and JC Penny for two reasons: 1) The pants at Sears and Penney's will be $25 pants that were originally designed and made to be sold at $25, where some of the pants at Marshall's may be $150 pants that have been discounted to $25. You have to know what you are looking at. Once the tags are off, no one knows how much you paid for them ;). 2) Though Sears and Penney's sell smaller sizes on their websites, their retail stores rarely stock women's clothes smaller than a size 8, which makes the stores useless for some of us.

Please remember to shop and support our local pet shops. They are far more knowledgeable and reasonable than Pet Co.
