Fire on Hildreth Street Takes Two Engines
The following are excerpts from the Westford Fire Department log for the week of Dec. 16 to 24, 2012.

Sunday, Dec. 16
First responders were dispatched to four crashes: on 495 Northbound (1:14 p.m.), the corner of Groton Road and Depot Street (1:34 p.m.), the corner of Littleton and Tadmuck roads (4:18 p.m.) and Hildreth Street (9:58 p.m.)
Only the Groton and Depot crash required additional medical attention at a hospital.
Thursday, Dec. 20
11:44 p.m. - Firefighters investigated reports of smoke in a building on Stonebolt Way.
Friday, Dec. 21
2:48 p.m. - A telephone pole caught on fire on Concord Road.
Saturday, Dec. 22
4:44 p.m.- Two fire engines were required for a fire on Hildreth Street.
Follow Up
In last week's Fire Department log, a reader asked for further information on an investigation at the East Boston Camps. Westford Patch has learned that the call was in reference to smoke rising from Burbeck Way, just a few dozen feet away from the entrance to the camps.
Upon further investigation, the smoke came from a legal, outdoor cooking fire.
