Driver in Tadmuck Accident Remains in Critical Condition
There has been very little change in the condition of 18 year old Carter Clements following a serious accident near the corner of Tadmuck and Palace Road in Westford on Friday.
Representatives of UMass Medical Center in Worcester informed Patch on Wednesday afternoon that an 18-year-old driver involved in a serious crash on Friday afternoon on Tadmuck Road remains in serious condition.
The driver, reported by the Lowell Sun as Chelmsford High School graduate Carter Clements, was driving southbound on Tadmuck Road on Friday when his Ford Focus hit a tree near the intersection of Tadmuck and Palace Road.
Westford Police have been collaborating with Massachusetts State Police to determine the exact cause of the crash, however Westford Police Captain Victor Neal believes the only way to know for sure is hearing what happened from Clements.
"Right now we're in a holding pattern," said Neal.
Massachusetts State Police spokespeople had no comment on the incident, citing jurisdictional control under town police.
No further information was available from UMass Medical Center officials.
Westford Patch will continue to update the story as it develops.

Thanks! We'll check back with the hospital and Captain Neal next week, although these situations are always fluid.
