Westford Meets East Eats
There are a variety of places to grab some Chinese in town.
Craving some shrimp tempura, pad thai, or kung pao chicken? There’s no need to hop in your car and drive 45 minutes to Boston to satisfy your taste buds. Westford is home to three restaurants specializing in authentic Asian cuisine. So brush up on your chopstick skills and get ready to chow down!
Bamboo, located on One Lan Drive, has been a local favorite since 2001. It offers fine Asian cuisine including authentic Chinese and Japanese. Bamboo’s menu is exquisite. Diners can feast upon Hamachi-Kama, Shanghai Boneless Duck and even Hunan Spicy Chilean Sea Bass.
Their popular lunch buffet features favorite Chinese dishes, a variety of dim sum, and an incredible line up of Japanese sushi. Finish off your meal with fresh fruit and green tea ice cream for dessert. The Sunday dinner buffet includes special features as lobster and steak.
An authentic sushi bar is also available for those who prefer their sushi made to order. The more daring can delight their palettes with fresh sashimi.
“We want people to relax and enjoy their dining experience,” says Bamboo General Mangaer Jeffrey Huang.
The restaurant offers outdoor patio dining and a private dining room is available for larger parties. “We want to distinguish ourselves from other restaurants” says Huang.
Just down the street is Karma, located on 174 Littleton Road at the Westford Valley Marketplace, which is also open for both lunch and dinner.
A lunch time favorite is the Karma Luncheon Box which customers can choose from a variety main entrées such as chicken teriyaki, vegetarian ma po tofu, Sichuan beef accompanied by an appetizer, soup and sushi.
Karma also offers an assortment of sushi and sashimi made to order. Colorful names fill their sushi menu as Hawaii Caterpillar Tempura Maki, Tiger’s Eye, Volcano Maki and Fire Dragon Maki which are made to order at their sushi bar.
If sushi is not your fare, traditional selections of Chinese, Japanese or Korean dishes are available, while a full liquor bar completes the dining experience.
For those that don’t feel like going out, Ginger Tree, located on the north of town at 527 Groton Road, is a carry out restaurant that also delivers.
One can call in an order at (978) 589-5155 and have it delivered or stop by, order and take it home. Although there’s no seating for dining, there is seating available while you wait.
Along with an extensive menu of traditional Chinese dishes the restaurant offers the popular Family Combo Dinners which includes three main entrées. Order a combo dinner of Sesame Chicken, Kung Pao Beef with Peanuts and Shrimp with Garlic Sauce or any other combination that is offered to please the palette.
