Christmas Will Be in the Air This Weekend

Events marking the holiday season highlight this weekend's events in Westford.

 

Are you not quite in the holiday spirit yet? There are events that may change that.

Here are just five of the events happening in Westford this weekend.

#1.

What: Live Nativity

Where: United Methodist Church of Westford

When: Sunday, Dec. 18, 6 p.m.

Why Go: Get in the Christmas spirit and see the Live Nativity that includes David Lengyel as Baby Jesus, and his parents Melissa and Christopher as Mary and Joseph. Members of the church youth group will serve as wise men and angels. There will be farm animals, as well as Christmas carols and refreshments.

#2.

What: Ball in the House holiday show

Where: Blanchard Middle School

When: Friday, Dec. 16, 7 p.m.

Why Go: Ball in the House, a Boston-based a capella group, will perform their holiday show called “Just Believe." Listen to holiday songs while helping the schools’ arts program. Tickets are $15 at the door.

#3.

What: A Christmas Carol

Where: Westford Academy Performing Arts Center

When: Friday, Dec. 16, 7:30 p.m.; Saturday, Dec. 17, 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.; Sunday, Dec. 18, 2 p.m.; and a special performance on Thursday, Dec. 22 at 7:30 p.m.

Why Go: No need to leave town to see Dickens' Christmas classic on the staae. Check out the Westford Academy Theater Arts’ performance!

#4.

What: Westford Winter Market

Where: 68 Boston Road

When: Saturday, Dec. 17, 9 a.m.

Why Go: The weather is getting colder, but that doesn’t mean you have to stop shopping for veggies. The indoor market is free.

#5.

What: Stump Trivia

Where: British Beer Company

When: Friday, Dec. 18, 7 p.m.

Why Go: Test your knowledge and show off your smarts at BBC.
