The Westford Health Department has recently added a "Tick Borne Illness" webpage for public access.  This page has information about the many illnesses that can be caused by the dog and deer ticks commonly found in Westford. Information and links about disease prevention and incidence are also included.

 A link is also provided to a very informative program sponsored by the Westford Health Dept. featuring Dr. Alfred DeMaria, MD, from the Massachusetts Dept. of Public Health.  This link allows the viewer to watch online the previously taped May 2012 event via access through the Westford CAT online video archive.

The Tick Borne Illness webpage can be accessed via the www.westfordma.gov website by clicking the  "Public Health" tab on the left and scrolling down to "Health Advisories" in the middle of the page.
