On Sunday, Aug. 26, St. Marks's Episcopal Church, Westford will welcome the Rev. Sr. Sarah Randall of the Society of St. Margaret. Sr. Sarah will preach at the 10 a.m. service and share her experiences living and working in Haiti. She'll also join us for coffee hour to share her beautiful photos of Haiti and to answer questions about the Sisters' work there.
After the service, our own Rev. Suzanne Wade will be blessing backpacks for students about to embark on a new school year! Invite your friends and neighbors to bring their children to St. Mark's between 11:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. for a blessing, light refreshments, and a simple craft. In honor of Sr. Sarah's visit, and the start of a new school year, we'll also be taking a "spare change" collection to benefit the Society of St. Margaret's scholarship fund for children in Haiti. Bring those coin jars from home and we'll use them to make sure a child in Haiti can attend school this year!
