Nashoba Tech Helps Groton-Dunstable Go To The Olympics
Nashoba Valley Technical High School is coming to the aid of another high school in its district.
Groton-Dunstable High School’s award-winning Chamber Chorus has been invited to represent American high schools by singing at the 2012 Summer Olympic Games in London.
To take advantage of the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, the students must raise more than $130,000 to cover travel costs and other expenses.
To reach that goal, several fundraisers have been planned, and Nashoba Tech decided to help out a fellow district school. Groton is one of seven towns in Nashoba Tech’s district, the others being Chelmsford, Littleton, Pepperell, Shirley, Townsend and Westford.
Nashoba Tech’s spaghetti supper to benefit the GDRHS chorus is on Thursday, March 22, from 6 to 8 p.m., at Nashoba Tech’s award-winning, in-school restaurant, The Chef’s Apprentice. Tickets are $10 and can be purchased in advance at the school or at the door the night of the event.
