Helping Heroes Home: AT&T Hiring and Supporting Returning Vets

Just in time for Independence Day, Cell Phones for Soldiers has launched a new initiative, "Helping Heroes Home," to support vets returning home from active duty. AT&T is donating more than $450,000 to launch the program, first in the Northeast. Veterans in need are asked to contact a local veteran organization to make requests for Helping Heroes Home support. Those needs can entail cell phone access, cellphone service, Internet service and/or any communication need within AT&T’s comprehensive telecommunications portfolio. In addition, AT&T will donate $2 every time someone watches the Helping Heroes Home video through Connect For Good, and $1 when they share it with friends. A pretty easy way to support our returning heroes.

Plus, you can always recycle your old cell phones and chargers and donate their value to Cell Phones for Soldiers. Just go to att.com/ecospace to restore your device to its factory settings, and then bring it to one of our stores (check att.com for listings) and we'll you donate their value to Cell Phones for Soldiers.

This is all part of AT&T's ongoing commitment to military veterans. Unemployment is a critical issue for returning veterans, and that's why we're actively recruiting to add even more veterans to join our teams throughout Connecticut. More information and resources for veterans is available at att.jobs/military
