Flu Clinics for Westford Public School Students
Due to a computer glitch, the registration for these clinics has been extended to Oct 19th for the Blanchard, Day and Nab schools and until Oct 22nd for all other Westford Public Schools.
If you want your child vaccinated and have questions about the deadlines above, please call our office at 978-692-5509.
If we do not have a completed registration sheet on your child, your child will not be vaccinated.
Flu Vaccination Clinics for children K-12 for Fall 2012
In an effort to reduce the incidence of flu in our community, the Westford Health Department is again collaborating with the Westford School Department to provide flu vaccine to students in all of the Westford Public Schools this year. Please note that notices to parents about this program will NOT be mailed home. The only notification of this program will be from the WPS Billboard, the WPS Superintendent’s notices, the Westford Board of Health listserv and the local newspapers.
Westford Academy students will recieve their vaccine in the nurse's office before school starts from 7:00am-7:30am on Tuesday, October 30, 2012.
Elementary and middle schools students will receive their vaccine during school hours on the following dates:

October 22, 2012 Monday Blanchard/Day/Nabnasset
October 23, 2012 Tuesday Stony/Abbot/Miller
October 29, 2012 Monday Crisafulli/Robinson
Only the nasal spray vaccine, FluMist, (which is the live, weakened formula) will be offered in this school-based program. This vaccine cannot be given to people who have diabetes, heart disease, asthma, or other lung diseases, are pregnant or to people to have an allergy to eggs.
